My Cappadocia Trip
Dream of Cappadocia
MY CAPPADOCİA TRİP
Cappadocia was a dream of colorful balloons floating in the orange pink sky at sunrise.

When I set foot, I realized that it is not possible to find this beautiful and natural texture in the heart of the Central Anatolia Region anywhere in the world.

No matter how much I photographed this natural beauty, my admiration never passed during the trip! First of all, I would like to say that Cappadocia is a special place not to fit in a weekend getaway.

It contains beautiful historical textures to visit. For this reason, I recommend going for at least 3 days.

I suggest you to choose the spring months to go to this charming place. I am a cold person but at the end of November I do not remember that I was so cold at all.

In fact, the breathtaking coldness of the air was also manifested in a concrete way since some regions were covered with ice. For this reason, if you do not go in the recommended times, namely April - May - September - October, I recommend you to prepare suitcases considering the climatic conditions.

In winter; thick clothes, moisturizer and lip balm. In summer; light colored strappy tops, a hat to protect against sunstroke, sunscreen and sunglasses can be suitable alternatives. As you can imagine, in Cappadocia, which has terrestrial climate features, winters are severely cold and summers are mildly sweltering.

Since it is a region where both foreign and local tourists flock, I can not say that the flight ticket prices are very affordable.

However, if you follow the campaigns and buy tickets in advance, I am sure that you will have suitable opportunities. Likewise, my suggestion in hotels will be to make a reservation in advance. Because beautiful hotels are filling up immediately.

How to get to Cappadocia?

If you are not traveling by car, you can choose Kayseri or Nevşehir as the airport. The plane journey takes 1 hour and 15 minutes from Istanbul. Our preference was for Kayseri.

The journey to Cappadocia takes about 40-45 minutes after arriving in Kayseri. Let me warn you if you have made navigation a lifestyle, you will have a hard time in Cappadocia. Because even in touristic areas, navigation does not make very accurate directions. Also, if you are going to travel by plane, I can say that renting a car from a car company will make your holiday easier to go to Cappadocia and travel there.

Choosing a Hotel to Stay in Cappadocia

Let's come to the hotel choice. As a person who likes to plan the holidays in advance, I found a hotel suitable for me and my family after a long research and made a reservation about a month ago.

My choice of 5-room dessert or sweet, clean or clean place. The stone and cave rooms, which hosted their guests with the motto “Where the wishes come true”, completely kept the Cappadocian spirit alive. As soon as we woke up, opening our curtain and seeing the  hot air balloon floating in the sky was very enjoyable and authentic, and it made us have a great start to the day.

Breakfast was just as good. Delicious homemade jams (banana jam, apricot jam, apple jam, strawberry jam), all kinds of eggs, pastry and local cheeses, as well as zahter (you must dip your bread in olive oil, then zahter) and the local delight. We had two very nice mornings with the rich menu and the view. In addition, the owner of our hotel offered us a nice touristic plan, so we could easily discover the places to visit!

I recommend you to use your choice of boutique and authentic hotels. If you especially prefer hotels with views, you can enjoy watching the balloons floating in the air when you wake up.
